The third race weekend of the ADAC GT4 Germany got underway in the Netherlands. It was already apparent in the free practice sessions that it would be difficult to move up in the field of 29 cars with the current Balance of Performance (BoP). Tim Reiter and Max Rosam started Saturday's race at Circuit Zandvoort from 19th on the grid, which proved to be turbulent due to the onset of rain, race abandonment and restart under wet conditions. Despite the challenging situation, the duo managed to cross the finish line in 19th place with a flawless performance.
In Sunday's race, the BMW M4 GT4 had to be parked as early as the second lap after a competitor made a mistake with the braking point, damaging car number #2 and making it impossible to continue, which unfortunately meant an early retirement.
"The BoP made it very difficult for the BMW at Zandvoort. The fact that this was compounded by a retirement through no fault of our own unfortunately makes the race weekend bitter. We were unable to score any more points. However, we are now looking ahead to the next two races at the Nürburgring," said Tim Reiter.
The next race weekend will be held at the Nürburgring from August 5 to 7, 2022.
