First podium finish for Reiter in the ADAC GT4 Germany

The driver duo of Reiter / Wassertheurer from the Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport team celebrated their first podium of the season at the ninth round of the ADAC GT4 Germany. In Sunday's race, a puncture a few laps before the finish put an end to the brilliant race to catch up from the last grid position to second place.

On Saturday, Leon Wassertheurer was able to work his way up from 13th on the grid. After the driver change, Reiter improved further positions with the BMW M4 GT4 G82 and drove to third place on the podium for the first time in the ADAC GT4 Germany.

After a very good 6th place in qualifying on Sunday, Tim Reiter had to start the race from the last position due to additional weights not being secured in accordance with the regulations. In an outstanding stint, Reiter worked his way up to the front of the field. Wassertheurer drove up to 2nd place. But unfortunately a tire failure ended the furious chase before the end of the race.

„On Saturday, we were able to show a strong performance with third place. It was my first podium in the ADAC GT4 Germany and is therefore something special. We were close to the podium last time at Zandvoort with 4th place. Now it finally worked out. On Sunday we were put into the last starting position with 6th place in qualifying. I had a super catch-up. With a perfect overcut and driver change we came back into the race in 5th place after pit stops and Leon was able to drive up to 2nd place. Then we unfortunately had a puncture eight minutes before the end of the race. My thanks go to the whole team who put together a sensational car for both races," said Tim Reiter.

The finals will be held at Hockenheim from October 20 to 22. All races live on Sport1.
