With a consistent and high pace, Reiter drove from tenth to sixth place in his stint in Saturday's race and was able to secure important points for the championship as the best BMW. On Sunday, Reiter started the race from seventh place and handed the BMW M4 GT4 Evo over to Wiskirchen in fifth place, who was waved off in fourth place at the finish.
In qualifying for Saturday's race, Philip Wiskirchen finished 14th on the grid. In the middle of the race, Reiter took over the BMW from ME Motorsport in 12th place and showed a flawless stint with strong overtaking maneuvers. Reiter/Wiskirchen crossed the finish line in sixth place and were able to take the points for fifth place due to a guest starter.
In a very close qualifying session for Sunday's race, Reiter qualified seventh on the grid, just 18 hundredths of a second behind the front row. In the race, Tim Reiter improved by a further two places before handing over to Philip Wiskirchen. Philip Wiskirchen also put in a strong performance and crossed the finish line in fourth place.
"With fourth and sixth place, we put in a great performance with the whole team despite the challenging conditions at the Sachsenring and were able to pick up some points. We will build on this at the Red Bull Ring and try to get the best out of our package," says Tim Reiter.
