Drivers Reiter, Wassertheurer and Bailey completed qualifying in the BMW M2 CS from Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport in dry conditions on the 25.378 km 24-hour Nürburgring. Reiter impressed in the start and final stint with many position improvements and fast lap times.
With a trouble-free qualifying session in the morning, drivers Tim Reiter, Leon Wassertheurer and Michael Bailey from Australia put themselves in a good starting position for the race from the third starting group. In the first stint of the four-hour race, Reiter was able to move up fourteen places and handed the BMW over to Leon Wassertheurer in 66th place, who then handed over to Michael Bailey.
As dusk fell and light rain set in during the final stint, Reiter stepped up the pace. At the end of the race, the MSC Sielmingen driver set lap times in the range of the fastest 30 vehicles from significantly more powerful classes. The final result was another class victory and 67th place in the overall classification of 108 vehicles.
"I'm happy that I was able to show my performance in these extremely difficult conditions. It was my first time driving on the Nordschleife in the rain, so I was able to learn the rain line step by step. In my stint at the end, I overtook cars from the front starting groups. It's a great feeling that I was able to achieve this pace in the rain and increasing darkness. As a result, I now have a permit for the Nordschleife in my pocket," said Tim Reiter.
The next ADAC GT4 Germany races for Tim Reiter are at the Norisring from July 4th to 6th. All ADAC GT4 Germany races take place as part of the DTM. The races are broadcast live on Sport1 free-to-air TV and are available as full-length live streams on Sport1.de, Joyn and YouTube under ADAC Motorsport.
