The Reiter/Wassertheurer driver duo did not have optimal conditions at the season finale at the Hockenheimring. With an unfavorable Balance of Performance classification, the driver pairing from Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport finished 11th in the race on Saturday and 15th in the last race of the season on Sunday.
It was clear from the start of the weekend that a top 10 finish would be difficult to achieve with the BOP classification of the BMW M4 GT4. After several setup changes in the free practice sessions, Wassertheurer put the BMW M4 in 14th place on the grid in qualifying for the race on Saturday. The race ended in 11th place.
In Sunday's race, Tim Reiter started the final race of the 2024 season from 12th place. In the turbulent race, the driver duo also finished in twelfth place. Due to Reiter's contact with another vehicle in the starting phase, he received a penalty after the race and thus 15th place.
"Unfortunately, with the BMW's balance of performance, we didn't stand a chance against the Porsche in this year's finale. Despite the time penalty on Sunday, we were still able to score a few points and secure 9th place in the overall standings in the end. Looking back on the season, I'm very satisfied with the first three race weekends, which brought me two podiums, my first pole position and my first leading laps in the ADAC GT4 Germany. In the second half of the season, the conditions were not ideal for us for the most part," Reiter summed up the season.
All ADAC GT4 Germany races took place as part of the DTM and are available as full-length live streams on YouTube at ADAC Motorsports.
