Leon Wassertheurer secured fifth place on the grid in qualifying for the seventh round of the ADAC GT4 Germany. The start of the race had to be postponed several times due to the heavy rain. With a convincing stint, Reiter crossed the finish line in seventh place against the Porsche and Aston Martin, which were strong in the rain.
On Sunday, Reiter started the eighth race of the season from 12th on the grid. After a very good start, he was able to improve to 6th place in the first few laps. When braking for the first corner, a collision with the BMW of another team in fifth place and a damaged track rod forced Tim Reiter to pit early.
"On Saturday, we were unable to keep up with the Porsches in the rainy conditions. I'm very pleased that we were among the fastest BMWs in the rain and were able to score points with seventh place. The retirement on Sunday was very unfortunate and is a shame, especially because of my good start and the improvement to sixth place. There are new opportunities at the Red Bull Ring," said Tim Reiter.
The upcoming ADAC GT4 Germany races will take place as part of the DTM at the Red Bull Ring in Austria from September 27 to 29. All races will be broadcast live on Sport1 free-to-air TV.
