Tim Reiter and Leon Wassertheurer started the first race of the 2024 season in the ADAC GT4 Germany at the first race weekend in Oschersleben from third place. After the first stint, Wassertheurer handed over in third place. Reiter drove the BMW M4 GT4 to a safe podium finish in the second half of the race: a successful start to the new season.
Despite two interruptions, Tim Reiter managed a perfect qualifying on Sunday and can therefore claim his first pole position in the ADAC GT4 Germany. After the start of the race, he kept the lead until lap 5, but then had to park the car in the pits with damage to the front right suspension.
"I look back on Oschersleben with mixed feelings. The first race weekend of the season got off to a perfect start with third place in the first race and my first pole position in this racing series. It has always been my dream to start a race from first place in the ADAC GT4 Germany. Unfortunately, we were unable to convert this tailwind into a finish in the second race and so we are looking ahead to the Lausitzring," said Tim Reiter.
The upcoming ADAC GT4 Germany races will take place as part of the DTM at the Lausitzring from May 24th to 26th. All races will be broadcast live on Sport1 free-to-air TV.
